Like must giant pumpkin growers I started growing giant pumpkins because it looked like fun. At the end growing season you have a pumpkin that everyone on your street is talking about. I live in New Hampshire so my first real exposure to Atlantic giant pumpkins came at the Topsfield Fair in Mass. Topsfield has some real big time growers at it like Ron Wallace(1569 lbs.), Joe Jutras (1689 lbs.), Steve Connolly(1674.5 lbs.), Jim Beauchemin (see video), and Bill Rodonis (1566 lbs.) to name a few. I had the chance to see how they grew world class giant pumpkins up close.
